CLEANER
Self-Employed (Domestic & Commercial)

Location: Positions available in St Neots and surrounding areas and Manchester

Hours: Monday to Friday – to suit you

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and driving status

  • Are you reliable, trustworthy, and passionate about creating clean, comfortable spaces? Squeaky Group Cleaners is looking for self-employed cleaners to support both domestic and commercial clients. With flexible hours and the ability to set your own schedule Monday through Friday, this role is perfect for someone who values autonomy and consistency.

  • You’ll be expected to perform a range of cleaning tasks in clients' homes and commercial premises:

    • General Cleaning Tasks:

      • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets and hard floors

      • Dusting and polishing furniture/surfaces

      • Cleaning and sanitising kitchens, washrooms, and common areas

      • Emptying bins

    • Additional Responsibilities:

      • Cleaning windows, mirrors, doors, and interiors

      • Restocking supplies (e.g., soap, towels, bins) where needed 

      • Using cleaning equipment safely—vacuum cleaners, mops, chemical products—and following health & safety and COSHH guidelines

    • Experience: Prior cleaning experience—domestic and/or commercial—preferred; deep-clean or tenancy turnaround experience is a plus (Adzuna).

    • Driver Requirement: Having a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly advantageous, allowing travel between client sites. Pay may be adjusted based on driving capability and client travel requirements (e.g., mileage compensation).

Head Cleaner

  • Are you an organised, reliable, and experienced cleaner looking for a flexible, self-managed role? As the Head Cleaner at St Neots or Manchester Squeaky Group Cleaners, you’ll lead both cleaning and administrative operations while working closely with our Area Manager.

    This blend of responsibilities makes it ideal if you’re seeking autonomy with room for leadership and personal initiative.

  • a) Cleaning & Supervisory Tasks

    • Perform comprehensive domestic and commercial cleaning—sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising kitchens and bathrooms, emptying bins, and tackling surfaces with attention to detail.

    • Lead by example—carry out deep cleans and uphold high cleanliness standards across all sites.

    • Inspect cleaned sites and maintain cleaning logs or charts to track quality and consistency.

    • Manage stock levels of supplies and notify or reorder when running low .

    b) Administrative & Managerial Duties

    • Collaborate with the Area Manager on invoicing and financial processing for client jobs.

    • Maintain and post content on social media to promote services, engage clients, and build brand presence.

    • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming client enquiries and messages.

    • Create and manage cleaner rotas, handle holiday and sickness coverage, and track cleaner absences and attendance.

    • Address and resolve complaints or service issues in coordination with the Area Manager—ensuring client satisfaction and service quality.

    • Support client relationship management and maintain operational standards across multiple sites.

    • Experience: Previous work as a cleaner (domestic/commercial) with strong leadership or supervisory experience.

    • Licence & Transport: A valid UK driving licence and vehicle are highly advantageous—helps manage multi-site logistics effectively.

    • Skills & Traits:

      • Exceptional organisational and time-management capabilities.

      • Detail-oriented, motivated, and professional approach to both cleaning and admin tasks.

      • Proficiency with invoicing tools or basic accounting, familiarity with social media posting, and excellent communication skills.

      • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset; able to collaborate with colleagues and clients.

    • Flexibility: Control your work hours Monday–Friday to suit your lifestyle.
